CMBEA Development Corporation (CMBEA-DC) is a non-profit organization, federal and state recognized 501 (c) (3) that works towards increasing the representation and visibility of multicultural vendors, as well as helping them to leverage available educational and financial resources to facilitate the success of their businesses. CMBEA Development Corporation provides professional development and educational workshops for vendors. In addition, it sponsors community outreach programs such as charity community photo shoots for families who cannot afford professional photography or coordination of the nuptials for special needs couples who want to experience the joy of a wedding. Additionally, the CMBEA Development Corporation offers small scholarships for vendors to attend regional and national professional conferences in order to develop their skillsets and network on a regional and national level. The CMBEA Development Corporation will also, at a future date, open a wedding and special events studio/meeting space for the use of its members and the general public.
